Content and Community.

If you’re like me as a course builder, you probably love those parts of your business! The problem is everything else, especially the tech.

LearnWorlds is a very solid solution to consider. So in my LearnWorlds review, I’ll lay out the pros and cons of this learning management software.

If you’re a hands-on learner, get yourself the 30-day free trial and follow along with my LearnWorlds review.

What Is LearnWorlds?

I’ve been creating courses before course software was a thing. I’m older than dirt – and not the good dirt either, the dusty dirt.

LearnWorlds is software for creating and selling online courses.

This category of business software is called a learning management system (LMS).

What makes LearnWorlds stand out from other LMS competitors is that LearnWorlds will host your course, process payments, etc., AND it gives you the option to create your content right in LearnWorlds.

To see LearnWorlds features, see this LearnWorlds demo video:

With LearnWorlds, a course is more than just a series of videos. You can make it an interactive experience by including live sessions, surveys, and assessments.

LearnWorlds is also designed to be user-friendly. They give you hundreds of page templates, and you get to build your course with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface.

LearnWorlds is a user-friendly intuitive software that makes building online courses easy.
LearnWorlds is a dope platform for creating interactive online courses.

90% of Americans think online education is effective.1 So you’re in the right business. Now, it’s time to pick the right tech to support you.

Is LearnWorlds Legit?

Yes, LearnWorlds is legit. It’s one of the big players in the online education industry.

Founded in 2014 by a team of e-learning researchers, LearnWorlds has grown to have over 140 employees.

LearnWorlds also has more than 10,000 customers. On Trustpilot, LearnWorlds has earned 4.2 stars out of 5, which means most LearnWorlds reviews are positive.

Is LearnWorlds Worth It?

LearnWorlds is worth it for anyone who’s serious about making money from online courses.

They offer all of the must-have features for building an online course, including interactive videos, certificates, and in-course assessments. And thanks to the website builder, you can give your courses an online home and create a real-deal academy of your own.

While LearnWorlds is a great option for all course sellers, it’s especially useful if you’re new to the online education game.

Here are 3 reasons LearnWorlds is so beginner-friendly:

  • There’s a 30-day free trial
  • The Starter plan gives you an affordable entrance into the world of online courses.
  • The artificial intelligence (AI) assistant can help with every level of course creation – from building the general course outline to writing the text for each lesson.

My LearnWorlds review is positive because it has all the features you’ll need at a fair price. You can feel comfortable knowing their tech team has your back so you can focus on your content and community.

LearnWorlds Pricing

LearnWorlds offers 4 different plans, each with its own price:

  • Starter ($24 per month * plus $5 for every course sold). Even with this basic plan, you can build unlimited paid courses.
  • Pro Trainer ($99 per month *). You won’t have to pay extra for every course sold, and you’ll get extra features like in-course certificates.
  • Learning Center ($249 per month *). This is LearnWorlds’s most popular plan, and it includes the platform’s full list of features – including a school cloning tool to help you scale.
  • High Volume & Corporate (no price listed). With more data security and additional administrative options, this plan is for big companies and academies.

* These prices apply if you opt for annual billing. If you’d rather pay on a month-by-month basis, you can do that, too – but the price will increase slightly.

LearnWorlds also offers a 30-day free trial here

How Does LearnWorlds Work?

The basic idea with LearnWorlds is simple: You build educational and engaging online courses, and then you leverage the platform’s marketing tools to attract students.

Here’s a LearnWorlds tutorial so you can see LearnWorlds features in action:

To sign up for Learnworlds, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the official LearnWorlds website.
  2. Click “Get Started Free.”
  3. Provide your email and create a URL for your online school.
  4. Start your 30-day free trial (no card needed).

The LearnWorlds course builder is designed to give you flexibility. You can fill your courses with special features, including:

  • Interactive videos
  • Live sessions
  • Assessments
  • Ebooks
  • Webinars
  • PDFs
  • Audio
  • Certificates
  • Learner diaries

The goal? To create a course that’s less like boring screen time and more like an exciting educational journey.

Ben Stein played a boring teacher in the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Don’t let your course be like Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Use LearnWorlds features to spice it up! My favorite spice is cinnamon. But I also like basil on pizza. Spice.

The LearnWorlds AI assistant can help you create your course outline, edit existing texts, and even produce assessments. You’ll still be the brains behind the course, but the AI can be a major time-saver.

LearnWorlds can also give your courses the digital infrastructure they need. You can build a website to host your academy, while also constructing a mobile app. Your students will love the convenience.

Once you’ve built an awesome course, your next step is to attract students (and get paid!) LearnWorlds offers tools to help you market your course, including:

  • Coupons
  • Course bundles
  • Subscriptions
  • Memberships

You can also integrate LearnWorlds with marketing software like Mailchimp and ConvertKit. That means you’ll have the tools at your disposal to turn your online courses into a sustainable, growing business.

LearnWorlds comes with an AI assistant to help you create online courses easily.
With LearnWorlds, you’ll get access to an AI assistant that can help you build your courses.

What Is The Catch With LearnWorlds?

The closest thing to a catch with LearnWorlds is that, with the Starter plan, you have to pay $5 for every course you sell. So, while the plan looks cheap ($24 per month), it’ll get expensive quickly. That’s why it’s only a good option when you’re starting out. Upgrade to the LearnWorlds Pro Trainer plan to save money.

Is LearnWorlds Safe?

LearnWorlds is totally safe to use. In fact, they dedicate an entire page of their website to describing their data security practices.

LearnWorlds security measures:

  • Isolated databases for each LearnWorlds school
  • Daily database backups
  • Encrypted data storage
  • Vulnerability scanning
  • Secure file storage

LearnWorlds Pros and Cons

LearnWorlds is a fantastic online course builder – but it’s not perfect. Nothing is. Except for chicken wings dipped in ranch. Holy smokes.

LearnWorlds Pros

  • The Starter plan is super affordable (at first). You’ll pay just $24 per month with annual billing. You’ll also pay $5 for every course sold, so it won’t be optimal for long, but it’s great for beginners.
  • The AI tools make course-building easy. Even if you don’t have much experience, LearnWorlds can help you build a fantastic course.
  • The drag-and-drop interface is super user-friendly. That’s one reason people rave about the platform in LearnWorlds reviews.

LearnWorlds Cons

  • The comprehensive plans are expensive. Want the full range of LearnWorlds features? You’ll have to pay $249 per month.
  • There’s no email marketing component. If you want to market your courses through automated emails, you’ll have to integrate LearnWorlds with another platform.
  • The amount of customization can be overwhelming. LearnWorlds lets you choose almost every aspect of your course. It’s nice to have choices, but users complain they get decision fatigue.

Are you making your course all by yourself? Holy crepes. Well, if you lead a team, consider my rundown of remote employee training and employee training software. Otherwise, keep killin’ it with your badass solopreneur self!

LearnWorlds Reviews

To learn more, let’s look at other LearnWorlds reviews.

Here’s one of the more fair LearnWorlds reviews on YouTube:

In a 5-star LearnWorlds review, someone shared that they especially liked the AI content generator and the customization options.

A super positive LearnWorlds review from someone on Trustpilot.
An enthusiastic user says LearnWorlds is a “super amazing LMS.”

Another user left a 5-star LearnWorlds review highlighting user-friendliness. They said the LearnWorlds “guides you every step of the way, making everything easy.”

A five star LearnWorlds review from someone who thought the course website building tools were easy to use.
In a 5-star LearnWorlds review, a user raves about how easy it is to build a website on the platform.

Of course, not all LearnWorlds reviews are positive. One person left only 2 stars, calling the platform “decent” while complaining that the support is only “lukewarm.” It took them a week to resolve an issue.

A two star LearnWorlds review from someone who thinks the platform is missing some advanced features.
Someone complains about the customer support in a 2-star LearnWorlds review.

And in a 1-star LearnWorlds review, someone said, “The user interface is horrible.”

This comment on the interface is definitely an outlier. But it’s important to know that there’s a subjective element to all of this – and an interface that’s ideal for one user might prove frustrating for another.

A negative LearnWorlds review from someone that thought the interface was too "clunky."
A user leaves a 1-star LearnWorlds review, slamming the user interface.

And bilo6 has used many of the popular LMS software packages, such as Thinkific, Teachable, and more. This LearnWorlds review reports that it’s the best for creating a “beautiful course.”

A LearnWorlds review from someone who has tried a lot of competing online course builders and likes that LearnWorlds is more aesthetically pleasing.
This LearnWorlds review highlights the gorgeous course creator feature that makes it prettier than Kajabi and other competitors.

How Good is LearnWorlds?

LearnWorlds is an excellent online course builder. It gets 4.2 stars from users on Trustpilot, and I can see why. With AI assistance and an intuitive interface, the platform makes it easy for beginners to create courses.

LearnWorlds is affordable enough that you can even do it as one of your hobbies to make money. Making a course to share your knowledge is also a great way how to make money online for beginners.

Can You Go Live in LearnWorlds?

Yes, LearnWorlds allows you to hold live video sessions as part of your courses. To access this feature, you’ll need at least the Pro Trainer plan (it’s not included in the Starter plan).

LearnWorlds vs Thinkific?

LearnWorlds and Thinkific offer the same main product: A drag-and-drop online course builder.

The differences mostly revolve around pricing. LearnWorlds has a cheaper basic plan (with a transaction fee for every course sold). Thinkific doesn’t have as cheap of a starter plan, but the comprehensive plans are more affordable.

LearnWorlds vs Kajabi?

LearnWorlds and Kajabi are both excellent online course builders, but LearnWorlds has a less robust marketing component. With LearnWorlds, you might want to integrate the platform with outside marketing tools, whereas Kajabi offers email marketing and other tools.

What Is LearnWorlds Used For?

LearnWorlds is used to host your online course. You can also create your course materials right inside this course app. And that’s pretty swell.

What Is Better Than LearnWorlds?

Garlic bread is better than LearnWorlds.

But if you’re talking about online course builders, you might also consider:
